Monday and Tuesday classes are running the same content so please do not book both days.
Our Reception Club offers a space for children to develop their confidence in the security of a small group, combining all key literacy skills with targeted intervention from teachers. Each term we build on prior learning ensuring a rigorous progression of skill and children attending a club will be given a priority space on the next terms course.
This term the focus will be on Grammar. Over ten weeks, each Tuesday, children will have the opportunity to develop their skills in identifying and understanding nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. This will include how to apply these in their writing whilst focusing each time on the 'five characteristics of a good sentence'.
The club is ideal for all children in Reception who are looking to further explore a love of learning.
There will be a small piece of weekly homework provided.
